Direct School Admission (DSA) 2026

Direct School Admission for secondary schools (DSA-Sec) allows students to apply for a place in the school based on their interest, aptitude and potential, beyond academic achievements.

Yuhua Secondary School will be offering Direct School Admission in the following areas of talent through their associated CCAs:

We invite students who wish to grow their talent and passion in these areas to become a part of our Yuhua family in 2027.

Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.

Visual and Performing Arts	Choir (Girls only)	Applicants should: have a strong passion in choral singing and enjoy performing in front of the audience. have performance experience(s) (e.g: SYF, singing competitions).	Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo audition/trial and interview.
	Concert Band (Boys & Girls)	Applicants should: have a strong passion in music and be able to play a relevant musical instrument for the Concert Band or Harmonica Band.
	Harmonica Band (Boys & Girls)
Sports	Volleyball (Boys & Girls)	Applicants should: have a strong passion for volleyball and display positive attitude in learning and contributing. preferably have prior participation experience in sports (e.g. NSG or other local volleyball competition).

Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.

Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.

You will receive notification from the school by 10 July if your child has been shortlisted to undergo Direct School Admission (DSA) selection. All applicants will receive their application outcomes between 17 and 28 August 2026.

The selection trials/auditions/interviews will be conducted in person on the premises of Yuhua Secondary School.

HOW TO APPLY

Application for DSA-Sec can be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal. The application is free-of-charge and will be open from 6 May 2026, 11am to 2 Jun 2026, 4.30pm. For more details, please refer to MOE website – https://www.moe.gov.sg/secondary/dsa

Essential Information

If your child is admitted to a secondary school through DSA-Sec, they are not allowed to:

Submit school choices during the Secondary 1 (S1) posting process.
Transfer to another school. They must commit to their chosen school for the duration of the programme.

Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1-4.
